Chef Melanie's philosophy about great food and cooking is
to use the highest quality and freshest ingredients possible.
Meals and menus can be prepared using organic ingredients,
and if you request she will shop the farmer's markets and farm
stands (when in season) to buy the best local produce for your
meals and catered events. Her menus can also be developed to
accommodate special dietary needs.
  Personal Chef Melanie has been passionate about food and
cooking since she was a little girl. She just didn't think she
would end up making a living doing it! She started her career in
broadcasting and had a part time job at Dayton's in the
Housewares department while working as a radio traffic
reporter for a small radio news network. The part time position
at Dayton's soon turned into a full-time Gourmet Specialist
position and then there was no turning back - she found her true
calling in the culinary field.

  After a few years she moved on to Kitchen Window in
Uptown where she worked as a Department Manager and
Culinary Instructor for over three years. Then an opportunity
came her way to become the Resident Chef and Director of
Culinary Operations at Kitchen Party in Blaine. After a short
time in this position her love for cooking and passion for
teaching made her realize she wanted to go into business for
herself. Moveable Eats, LLC was born!

   Besides running her own business, you can find Chef
Melanie teaching cooking classes at various cooking schools
throughout the Twin Cities metro area. In her cooking classes,
she strives to impart her cooking knowledge to eager students
and share her passion for great food so they will develop the
confidence to try their newly learned skills in their own kitchens.
